Stage One - Planning Details

The planning process is concerned mainly with the aesthetical looks of the proposal and the impact on the neighbourhood in general. The planning department concerns are to ensure that the proposed development contributes to the street scene and tries to avoid a design that will devalue the area as well as your own property.

Building & Design Services (Nottm) Ltd will address all the issues in accordance with the requirements of the planning department and the requirements of the client. Obviously there may be changes to the original project to satisfy the planning policy.

Stage Two Building Control Technical Details

Once your project has received planning permission, you will be allowed up to 3 years to start your build project.

With most projects, technical drawings will be required to comply with building regulations and to provide further technical details to your appointed builder.

I advise all clients that an application with supportive documentation and drawings are submitted to the council at least one month before the project starts. Building & Design Services (Nottm) Ltd will provide a complete set of detailed drawings in accordance with all current building regulations.
